NESN has come to another content-sharing agreement, this time with NBC10 in Providence. Similar to the deal inked with CBS-affil WBZ, NESN staffers will appear in cut-ins on the station’s noon and 6 p.m. broadcasts, and WJAR will provide weather reports for the Providence feed of the regional sports net. In addition, WJAR sports guy Frank Carpano will appear on NESN’s pregame show.
In a press release, NESN president Sean McGrail remarks, “WJAR has been a leader in providing the Providence market with the best news and sports coverage for decades,” adding, “We are proud to partner with WJAR and excited to provide Rhode Island sports fans with more localized coverage through this exceptional affiliation.”
The content-share agreement will begin on Tuesday May 29th. Via nesn.com
